About Luke

My name is Luke, and I am passionate about helping students build confidence, strengthen their mathematical skills, and achieve success.

I began my professional career as a Police Officer and later served as a Detective. During my time in law enforcement, I also spent four years working as a High School School Resource Officer (SRO). That experience gave me the opportunity to work closely with students, and I quickly discovered how much I enjoyed building relationships with young people and helping them overcome challenges.

After retiring from law enforcement due to an injury, I decided to pursue another passion: teaching and tutoring students online. Mathematics has always been one of my strongest academic subjects. I excelled in math from an early age and continued to do well throughout college. More importantly, I understand that being successful in mathematics is not simply about knowing the material—it is about developing confidence, learning how to approach problems, and having someone willing to explain concepts in a way that makes sense to you.

When you work with me, you can expect a relaxed, supportive, and judgment-free learning environment. I understand that students learn at different speeds and in different ways. I will never make you feel embarrassed for asking a question, and I do not become frustrated when a concept takes time to understand. My goal is to meet you where you are, identify what is holding you back, and work with you until you are confident in your ability to succeed.

Throughout my career, I learned the importance of respect, patience, communication, teamwork, and hard work. Those principles continue to guide me as a tutor. In law enforcement, success often depended on working together as a team toward a common goal. I believe tutoring works the same way.

You and I are a team. We will work together, one step at a time, to strengthen your skills, overcome challenges, and reach your academic goals.
