About Brenda
I love helping students who are struggling. It's so rewarding to see their progress and their sense of pride when they accomplish something they didn't think possible.
I have been tutoring online for the past few months. I also tutored a few years ago at an in-person tutoring center.
I have a BA in Elementary Education and a master's degree in Library and Information Science. I am certified to teach grades K-6 (all subjects) as well as 4-8 math, K-12 ESL, and K-12 library (research). I have taught grades kindergarten, 1st grade, and 5th grade math in the classroom and have also worked with students in grades K-6 and 9-12 in the library. I have also tutored college students and helped them with their research.
I wanted to teach since I was 6 years old. I got my degree and started teaching when I was 22 years old.
I have a BA in Elementary Education and a master's degree in Library and Information Science.

I spend the first session talking to a new student (and parent, if applicable) about their needs and goals. I also spend some time determining the level at which they are currently working.
I have worked with students from different socieconomic backgrounds. I have worked with students in grades K-6 and 9-12. I have also worked with college students. I have worked with students who struggled with the English language.
