About Wen

I cater to the student's needs and incorporate more active learning in the process. I hope to not only improve the student's understanding of a topic but also their outlook towards learning. During tutoring, the student can be free to ask any question, whether it be studying advice or just problems that occur in life.

I really enjoy working with kids and helping them through the learning process. I believe that tutoring is a win-win situation. Not only does the tutee learns from the tutor, but also, the tutor is enriched by the tutee. Helping others accomplish their goals is just as rewarding as accomplishing them yourself.

I have worked as a teacher's assistant at a K-12 summer program, for three years. In my free time, I would volunteer at my local library and help mostly kindergarten and middle school students with their homework.

About the lesson

I would typically start by getting to know my student and their preferred way of learning. First, I like to teach the theory portion of a particular subject that way students can have a foundation to build on. When the student starts to understand the subject I would work through multiple examples with them until they get the hand of it.
