About Ryan
As a current high school student, I am very familiar with working with other students and I have always enjoyed math. Having struggled with math beacuse of the large group setting, I really enjoy giving students a personal learning expierence as I feel this is how to best help them accelerate their learning.
One of the best things I like about tutoring is making students have that, " A ha! " moment. I struggled with math for so long and when I finally had the right teacher to explain it to me I felt so much better about what I was doing.
As a current high school student, I have passed Algebra 1 with an A and continue to do very well in my current math course.

One of the most important things when working with a new student is to learn how they best understand the material. Also, I really enjoy taking time to get to know my students as I feel different circumstances can cause a student to either do well or not do so well when learning.
The best advice I could give a student is to hire another student as their teacher. I feel know one has a better understanding of math courses than a student who has been through them and can give information to them that they can learn from.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should think about what they want out of a tutor. Do you they want to become a pro math student? Do they want to just pass the quarter? Luckily, I am very accommodating to my students and can adapt to what their goals are.

One of the best things my son experienced when working with Ryan was his ability to connect with him. My son had expressed that he was different than other tutors we have tried because he was patient with him and wanted to make sure he understood what he was doing. Unlike many "professional" tutors who charge unaffordable prices, I care deeply about helping the student understand the material. As a current student, I know exactly how it feels to not understand something. With that, I charge between $15-$25 an hour.
