About Ann

Over the course of my educational career, I have had significant experience tutoring other students and peers my age. This includes serving as a tutor in high school where I taught individuals both my age and younger in various courses. While in college, I worked as a teacher at the STEP Program. The STEP Program allowed me to build my own curriculum and create lesson plans. The parents of the students that I have worked with have been thoroughly impressed with the progress they have made and have noted that they have learned advanced concepts, which are beyond their grade school requirements, in an efficient and clear manner. As a tutor, my goal is to teach students through thorough explanation, a variety of examples, and repetition of course material.

The following are the course that I tutor in:

AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Physics, AP European History, AP U.S. History, AP Environmental, AP English Language, Algebra II, Algebra Honors, Geometry Honors, Trigonometry Honors, AP Calculus AB, SAT (both verbal and quantitative), Physics, all regents

I have been tutoring since I was in high school and I've continued with that passion into my current career as a teacher. I've taught English, Math, and Science in a professional/ classroom setting. I am familar with the NY State standards and curriculum, which enables me to better assist my students to succeed inside and outside of the classroom.

About the lesson

I have worked with students from elementary to college level individuals; both in the classroom and one-on-one.

During this time with Covid-19 I have found interactive and exciting ways to engage and teach my students remotely and in a safe and encouraging learning environment.
