About Mwelu

Does it seem that when you're in class the material just doesn't stick? Are you struggling with grasping concepts taught in class? It's okay, we've all been there and need an extra boost. Here, you can ensure that the most complex concepts are broken down into simple terms for your understanding. Whether it's for an exam, a homework assignment or just comprehending a topic for yourself.

Coming from a family with four children (myself being the oldest), it has always been a passion of mine to share and explain knowledge and watch people overcome even the smallest of challenges (like maths). I have gotten the opportunity to teach and tutor individuals from a young age up until my current state. My passion lies in helping students overcome their doubts in their abilities and show them they are capable of achieving their end goals.

In my teenage years, I was given the responsibility of managing my churches Sunday School Group which paved the way for me to want to aid as many students in their studies to the best of my abilities.

Part of my college experience was working at our Academic Support Center that gave students the opportunity to work one-on-one with a tutor to help fulfil their required responsibilities. The topics and subject areas I tutored include mathematics, accounting and business.

I have always had a knack for teaching younger individuals. After attending college for a few semesters, my Calculus professor recommended me to the Academic Support Center Offical and I was hired immediately!

In my pursuit of my bachelors and masters degree, I have spent the last three years providing academic support for students in need of extra guidance.

About the lesson

I like to gauge a student's skills by allowing them to tell me what it is they need assistance in. From there, I will help break down the steps and concepts as simply as possible.

Over the course of my college career, I have had plenty of experience tutoring college students. Prior to that, I focused on younger students in grades 1 to 6.

Make sure you come excited and ready to learn! This is a journey and a step further into a smarter future!

I became a proud recipient of a scholarship for the 2019 NABA Eastern Region Scholarship Conference.
