About Aakriti

Hi! Are you looking for ways to improve your math grades and become a skilled math student in class? At every stage of my schooling, I have found myself appreciating the intricacies of mathematics that channel my energy towards analyzing and solving different mysteries in different patterns and numbers.

This became evident by the resulting A* in IGCSE Mathematics, along with a 6 in IB Math Analysis and Approaches Higher Level. This lead me to now pursue a degree in Accounting and Finance.

A major part of the success from this passion derived from the unbounded exhilaration of assisting my classmates by providing an understanding of the concepts and questions taught in class. They were aspired by the manner in which I first ensured they were comfortable with the basic, overall foundation to the topic, after which, step by step, in the simplest terms, I proceeded with the approach to the question.

In the same manner, I strive to help more and more dive into mathematical concepts and get comfortable with them by which they may find the same joy in solving them as I do.

I had very unofficially started teaching at a small age by helping my classmates and more than often, I would volunteer and be called upon by the teacher to present and explain something to the class that I have always been very passionately active in.

I have studied and excelled at Mathematics of IGCSE Level as well as IB Mathematics (Analysis and Approaches) Higher Level.

About the lesson

I would first like to know the student and begin by understanding the reasons as to why they have opted for a tutor such as myself, i.e. the problems they are facing. Once that has been identified, I will begin the process of preparing a plan to build a foundation for the student and help them understand the concepts before diving into the question which will give them a fair chance of solving it themselves which we can continue working on further together until they are confident with it.

Avoid looking for answers to the questions you solve. Seek to get comfortable with the logic and mathematical concepts being taught and emphasize fully learning the steps that get you to the answer

1) Do I want to understand what I am doing or do I want straight answers to my homework?

2) Do I have the necessary textbooks/notes to help my teacher know what exactly needs to be taught?
