Experienced tutor in Mathematics in New York, Boris offers private lessons tailored to your needs.

I have been working with Dewey Smart for my son’s 8th grade ELA class. His tutor is professional, punctual, and flexible. I appreciate that they update me with the topics covered, areas of needs, and they assign homework based on the needs. I am planning to continue with the team for his high school classes!

Dewey Smart helped our teen launch his SAT score to a 1450 on the first try! On the second try, he received a 1520. The sessions were invaluable! Highly recommend. Now the hard part, picking a college!

I just got done working with Dewey Smart, and I have no complaints whatsoever! They are very on top of things and knowledgeable about the college admissions process. I submitted my application to several Ivy League schools just a few nights ago, and regardless of if I get in, I believe my chances were wildly improved with their essay help. They are quick in responding, excellent at their work, and the prices are more than fair.

5 out of 5 from me!

The college counseling sessions have been very helpful and made me feel a lot more confident about the whole process!

We hired Dewey Smart to help our daughter with the college application process & test prep for her ACT/SAT tests. So far, our daughter has been working with her Ivy League College Counselor on her supplemental essays and on gathering information for scholarships, school lists, etc. She is also working with her Tutor on improving her SAT score and gaining extra practice in different AP subjects. The entire team has been amazing! It has been a huge relief for our daughter, and us as well, to have extremely bright and knowledgeable advisors helping to ensure that she has what she needs to move forward in this process! Everything has gone extremely well, and both advisors are very professional, and very helpful. We get an update after each session stating what they worked on and what she’ll be working on in the next session. They are very easy to contact, and we are very, very happy with our decision to hire Dewey Smart!

My son told me that his hour-long tutoring session today felt like 10 minutes and that it was fun! He understood the material enough to work his way successfully through the end of the lesson independently. Worth every penny!

It's been a month since my son started using Dewey Smart services. He has so far had an excellent experience. He received valuable information from Anna, Michael, and Rachel, all of whom were extremely competent. We have already suggested Dewey Smart to our friends and coworkers, and we will continue to use their services throughout both of our children's academic careers. Thanks!

All the Dewey Smart tutors I had were extremely helpful. They always came with thought-out lesson plans and made sure I understood the topic before we moved on. My average test score in AP Chemistry increased by 15 points after starting. The tutors were always very easy to schedule the next appointment with and were always prepared for the session.

My daughter was really struggling in science. We contacted Dewey Smart, and she was matched with an Ivy League tutor who understood her learning style and was able to explain tough concepts simply. My daughter got an A!

Dewey Smart has been such a huge help navigating this incredibly confusing process of everything surrounding this crucial year before college. Our counselor has made a measurable difference in our approach, offered valuable advice, and helped us determine where to focus our efforts. His feedback is always spot-on and well-received.

My son was on a time crunch to have a large amount of work completed by a particular date. His tutor kept my son on track by setting appointments, goals, and providing guidance to accomplish the educational requirements. Thank you so much for helping my son where I could not. We couldn't have done it without you!

I’m glad we found Michael and his team. We needed help for my daughter who has been struggling and very stressed with the workload of 6 AP classes in her junior year. Not only are the tutors highly qualified but they have been very helpful. I have been pretty happy with their service.

My daughter is preparing for her ACT, and needed help reviewing for the math portion and with test-taking strategies. She's gotten a lot out of her tutoring sessions with Michael and another one of the tutors on his team. Michael started by assessing her skills, and creating a clear plan for improvement. We both feel that she's better prepared and far more confident going in to this important test!

Michael and his team are such wonderful tutors. They are very responsible and explain the concept very well. I highly recommend them.
