About Samantha

Hi! I am a college graduate looking to help students love math again! I know it is a difficult subject to love, but once a student understands it, they can do great things! As well as boost their self confidence academically!

I majored in Applied Mathematics with a concentration in Actuarial Science and minored in Business and Data Science. In high school I worked at an afterschool program assisting student K-8 in homework and test prep. During college, I was a college Financial Accounting tutor.

In my free time, I love to ski or take a trip to the beach. I also love to read every chance I get!

I have a Bachelor's of Science in Applied Mathematics with a concentration in Actuarial Science and minors in Business and Data Science. Throughout high school and college, I have held various types of tutoring positions.

About the lesson

Every student learns differently, and understanding that is a large part in tutoring and teaching. I first figure out how the student learns; whether it is by doing practice problems, listening, or reciting back. From there I can better assist them and alter their tutoring session to better fit how they learn.

I have worked with students from K-8, high schoolers prepping for college mathematic placement exams, and college students.
