1. Collect the information they are learning before the tutoring session.
2. Understand how the teacher is teaching the subject.
3. Ask the student what part he isn't understanding.
4. Focus on the areas of improvements.
I have worked with elemantary, middle, high school, and college students in btoh english and spanish.
I would advise the student to make sure that the teacher makes the subject fun and enjoyable. You are already going to school full time so taking time out of your day to continue to learn shouldn't be a hassle
