About Terry
I love math and making it fun! I'm excited to teach at all levels up through first-year college math, and hopefully students not only understand but also enjoy the process of learning. Feel free to ask any questions/send requests for tutoring to (concealed information)
I graduated from Harvard in 2021 in Applied Math with a focus in Mechanical Engineering (feel free to ask me about physics, too) and I've worked with Art of Problem Solving (a competitive math teaching site) as a teaching assistant and homework helper in the past. I also have teaching experience in English with Ignis Education, where I worked with students live and online.
In middle and high school I've partipated in various math competitions from Mathcounts to AMC to ARML to local competitions; I'm a 3-time AIME qualifier.
I started in high school as a teaching assistant and grader for competition math courses on Art of Problem Solving; I realized I that helping students understand something they didn't previously is priceless.
I have teaching experience with Art of Problem Solving and Ignis Education.

Depends on them!
If it's homework help, I tend start by having them work through a problem and letting them ask me any questions as they go, making sure they understand the concepts.
If it's long-term tutoring, we'll go through an agenda on what they'd like to learn and make a plan!
I've worked with students of all ages from elementary school through college.
