Discuss the problem and see how student approached solving the problem.

I have worked with all types of learners. I have worked with students of all ages: elementary, middle, and high school.

First and foremost, you should find a tutor that is able to break down the problem at your level. With math, there is a tendency for Math enthusiast that talks way over the head for the student. Addtionally, in order for students to grasp Math concept, it is important that practice takes place. Tutor should provide addtional drills to help solidify your understanding.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Student should evaluate his/her habit in the particular subject. If you want to learn something, then you can learn to do it. It does take discpline. Part of the fun in math is the ability problem solving. Think of it like solving a mystery. In solving anything, you must find clues. There is no "easy" way of solving, it just takes resolve.
