About Jesse
I am a high school student in rural Illinois. I only have a few months of experience tutoring, from when I've stayed after school to help other students who need a little guidance or clarification in a subject they struggle in, and growing up, I have always excelled at logical thinking and problem solving. When I solve a problem, I get a feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment. I also enjoy helping others get that same feeling, and through tutoring, I've found a way to do just that. Being a high school student, I believe that I can connect well and explain things in a way that other students around my age can understand. I do my best to figure out the problem that the student needs solved, and aim to help them understand HOW and WHY things work, instead of just simply giving answers. This helps to create a long term sense of understanding and confidence within the subject, rather than just quick answers for homework assignments, with no lasting results.
