About EDDIE
Teaching brings out the best in me. I love sharing the knowledge I've gathered over the years with others thirsty to receive it. With my tutoring clients I remain enthusiastic, empathetic, and entertaining. Being able to get them to the "a-HA!" moment, is the greatest feeling in the world!
Over the years, I've taught in elementary, secondary, and tertiary institutions across four continents. I really enjoy teaching people what I know, because not only does it get them where they need to be, but it also strengthens my own love of learning.
I have two Bachelors degrees (in Computer Science, and in Computer Science & Engineering), and I am rounding up my Masters in Information Technology Management at Columbia University in the City of New York. I either have or am about to get a number of web certifications from Google, Shopify, and Acquia. I also have been a professional software engineer for almost 20 years.

First, I need to find out where they are in their learning journey. Then I need to find out what kind of tutoring they've had in the past, and why they believe they may not have been able to get the needed skills transferred to them. Then I work out a mode of attack to get them from where they are, to where they need to be.

I reached out to Eddie to work with my son, M., on Java, Javascript, and PHP before he started a technical high school. They worked well remotely and M learned. M. was not happy about tutoring and Eddie was able to connect with him and pull him into the learning. M. is in tenth grade in a technical high school and doing well!
