About Ashley
Hi there! My name is Ashley. I graduated from Arizona State University in 2021 Summa Cum Laude. I am currently a 2nd year Master's student at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) in the biological sciences department, graduating Spring, 2024. In addition to being a graduate student, I am a teacher's assistant in the biological sciences department and teach 120+ students per semester. I have been offering private tutoring in math, chemistry and biology since 2013, and can tutor in introductory and general chemistry, any biology class, and math up to calculus I. My career goal is to become a college professor and I have been working hard at that through private tutoring, serving as a TA, and I will graduate Spring, 2024 with certification in the foundations of college instruction.
I genuinely love what I do and helping students reach their full potential and have the 'aha' moments that make them feel that they are just as capable as anyone else in doing well in STEM.
I recognize that students come into the classroom with a unique background and prior knowledge, and that each student learns at a different pace and learns best in a certain way, which will be assessed and talked about throughout our time together.
I work with students from kindergarten all the way up to the college level.
