About Tom

I primarily teach math, hence the name, but I also teach other subjects. I teach 4th-6th grade math, biology, political science, creative writing and grammar skills, and a few other topics.

I enjoy teaching students about various topics they may have trouble with. Students need multiple subjects taught to them to have a greater grasp of their educational needs. This is why I provide multiple subjects- because I care.

I am an honor roll student who has studied in many topics of interest. I've won a district tournament in speech and debate, I have been writing all of my life with multiple short stories being written and have competed school writing competitions. I have taken AP Biology and gotten the max score on the AP Biology, a 5, which translates to an A+.

About the lesson

My students will tell me what topics they want to hone their skills on or are struggling with. After they do this I will give a concise lesson about the topic and example problems for practice. If the topic does not consitute the use of practice problems, instead we will have an in depth discussion of the topic, such as my political science and writing offers.

I only work Saturdays after 11AM and after school Fridays.

Advice for my students will include:

- Practice; practice; practice taught material after and before class to master the topics taught.

- Please focus on topics that you have the most trouble on first so then I can get you the most ahead that you can be.

- Carefully listen to my lessons. I will make the lessons as simple and to the point as possible for my students so then comprehension can be easier.
