About Alexis
I am a college student who can relate to the young ones! I love to teach creativley. Using games is a fantasic way to teach children. As well as using imagination and making learning fun is how students grasp content better than reading out of a text book.
I love when students "light bulb" clicks when they process the content they learn. I enjoy when students are excited to learn. Shouldn't this be the end goal?
Like I stated previously, I am still a college student. However, with the teaching internship I was able to get involved with teaching.
I am currently a college student who loves children! I have materials that can be utilized when learning specific materials. I have interned in elementary level classes for two years and assisted in teaching math.

Typically, I will begin with what exactly they need help with. The best way for a child to relate to something their learning is to use creative materials. Using imagintion also helps tremendously. Once we sit down and begin math problems, we will walk through them together and figure out where the child is being stumped. From there, we will talk about it and use different materials to learn exactly how to complete the problem. One of my biggest weaknesses growing up was when I was forced to memorize instead of learn. Therefore, I will teach students to specifically learn concepts in a fun and exciting way!
Early education students. Kindergarten through fifth grade.
Make sure the teacher/tutor is able to teach what you are learning. For me, I love being taught in a fun and "out of the box" type of way!
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Are you doing your homework? Are you asking questions in class when you are confused? If you still need help, it is best to recieve one-on-one help.
