About Mandy
Hi! I am Mandy, I am a class of 2021 UC Berkeley Alum with my B.S. in mechanical engineering. I have ample hands-on experience tutoring both high school math and chemistry at all levels.
I have taken courses at Cal through the Cal Teach Program to perfect my tutoring techniques and get students involved in STEM. I am very COVID cautious and have been doing virtual tutoring for a few months and feel I have gotten a good handle on tutoring virtually.
I work with kids of all ages and abilities and mold my lessons to their unique learning style. I can cover specific topics or assist with general improvement.
I have years of tutor expereince, with middle school math, high school math, and even some college calculus. I am also apart of the Berkeley Cal Teach program where I take courses specifically on how to tutor STEM.

My method of teaching revolves around engaging the student with the material. I focus a lot of getting to know my student's abilities and prior knowlege so that I can better explain things. I like to lead though asking questions so that you can form connections and really understand how things work.
