About
Hello, I'm a UCSD (University of California San Diego) graduate with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Business Management that is looking to tutor in Math (Algebra, Algebra 2, SAT I & II Math, Precalculus) at either high school level or college level. I am also looking to tutor in SAT I and II. All the subjects I'm hoping to tutor for I've had a lot of success in improving the score of my students.
I have passed the CBEST, which allows me to be a substitute teacher at a high school level and I also have a minor in teaching. I am also bilingual in Spanish, Chinese (Mandarin) and Taiwanese so for those who are not native speakers of English, I can explain what I teach in those native tongues. (I have also taken professional customer service calls in those languages too) I am also of course a fluent speaker of English being in the US for over 30 years.
I have tutored those with D's in school and raised their scores to a B+, A- range within 5-6 months and I've been able to increase SAT I scores of my students by several hundred points. I have yet to tutor anyone that doesn't naturally improve (if not by a lot). So instead of spending thousands of dollars on Princeton Review or Kaplan, etc. get the same help and same results (if not better) for much less! I have always enjoyed teaching. I teach usually so well that my students exceed the score I got taking the same exam myself. I believe as long as my students works hard and listens to what I teach them, they will be much more successful than before.

All kinds from knowledgeable students trying to boost their grades a little more to those with a very weak foundation. I also speak Spanish and Chinese so I’ve helped people of different ethnic backgrounds as well.

I went to a top 40 college in the nation , past a nation wide reaching exam (CBEST) and had lots of experience teaching. I normally charge $40/hr or higher.
