About Elan
Hi! I'm Elan Podolsky,
I'm 16 years old so I can relate to the students and help them understand the math with more ease than a 40 year old out of date teacher. I've always loved math and as such became the top math student at my high school as a freshman and compete in numerous math competitions throughout the year. I recieved the departmental award for mathematics and was recommended to skip two years of math. I consider myself an extremely patient person and can help students truly develope the math foundations they need to move on to higher level maths.
I look forward to working with all you students!
I really enjoy teaching students math because seeing a kid understand a topic that has been bothering them for the first time fills me with such bliss. Turning a kid who struggles with math into a confident student is a joy that is unexplainable.
I help students a lot at school who are struggling and even sometimes give teachers lesson plans!

About the lesson

To help a struggling student I would first thouroughly go through all of the main information needed to solve a specific problem. Then I would show them an in depth example and then let them try an example problem on their own and walk them through anyhting they're struggling with. Once they fully understand the topic, I would rinse and repeat until they can work through the topic with ease.
