About Elly
As a college student, I'm freshly familiar with high school math courses, and know just how to help you exceed in your classes as I did! I am a National Merit Scholar and earned a 4.27 GPA with Honors. I'm currently studying Finance and Mathematics at Grand Canyon University.
I began tutoring in Summer 2019 and helped students pass their math exams and earn their high school diploma. If you're struggling in math, I want to analyze your learning style and develop it further so you can form a better number sense and perform better and more confidently on your exams.

About the lesson

I talk with students about what their specific struggles are, whether they aren't grasping material at all, or seem to have the content down only to perform poorly on tests.
From there I assess their study skills and what they're doing to perform their best in the class. I help students take the content they're learning in class and boil it down to its basics so they're not just memorizing facts, but understanding the fundamentals of the material.
I then work with students to develop study skills and organize knowledge so they can quickly identify how to solve problems on tests and find accurate solutions.
