About Katherine
I work with high school students ages 16-21, in an accelerated school program. I am on summer vacation and looking to spend my time doing something I am passionate about before the school year starts! I can help your child with Math and English. I can tutor students from 1st grade to 12th grade and have a very flexible schedule!
I have worked for non-profits throughout the years and have worked with at-risk youth over the last 4 years. I began my teaching career 1 year ago and have fallen in love with the profession. I think education is the foundation upon one builds his or her life.
I received my bachelor's degree from Lynchburg College (Lynchburg, VA) and have my teaching license in the state of Arizona.

I think it's important to build rapport with a student and figure out his/her/their learning style.
I work with students ages 16-21 but have plenty of experience working with younger ages and often tutor my nieces and nephews.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I think it is important to pin-point the areas in which a student struggles and then work back to the fundamental basics. It is important to lay a strong foundation in education in order to gain a deeper knowledge of any field or practice.
