About Yueyang

I'm a recent grad of Duke University and can help a lot of upcoming seniors who are about to apply to college with their applications. I also scored a 1550 on the SAT (800 math) and a 35 on the ACT (36 on math) so I also offer test prep as well as math help.

I've always been able to work with kids of all ages in a variety of ways. For the past few summers I was a counselor at a basketball summer camp and I had to play with kids ranging from ages 6-16. More recently, I tutored students from China, helping them with their math.

About the lesson

I would first introduce myself and have a brief 5-10 minute natural conversation with the student. This 5-10 minutes would not be charged for any fee but rather as a way for us to get to know each other and "break the ice". I would then start the lesson with a warmup that I think the student can handle and move onto more advanced topics later in the lesson.

I have worked with students who have only started basic addition to students who are in advanced algebra and are doing quadratic equations. In addition, I've also worked with a lot of high schoolers on preparing for standardized tests such as the SAT and ACT.
