About Bernardo

Come and explore the wonderful world of Algebra, Calculus and beyond. I’ve been teaching and tutoring for 20+ years at the high school and Collegiate level.

Throughout my many years of teaching and tutoring I have developed a rapport with my students that allows them to share their weaknesses so that I can help them and share my knowledge of mathematics and statistics with them. I love it when they ask questions and we can delve into the topic or question further and develop their skills together, so that they don’t have to struggle by themselves and get further frustrated with the topic, until they gain confidence in their own academic skills.

For the past for 20 years I have been teaching Elementary Math, Algebra, Finite Mathematics, PreCalculus, Calculus, PreCalculus and Calculus Technology Labs with Mathematica, Linear Algebra, Introductory and Intermediate Statistics both online and offline at various CUNY and non-CUNY colleges, including Hunter College, The City College of CUNY, La Guardia Community College of CUNY, St. Francis College, Berkeley College and Marymount Manhattan College as well as at a charter high school.

I have had productive experiences in helping a diverse set of students with Mathematics from Stuyvesant, Bronx Science and Hunter high schools, Baruch College, Brooklyn College, Hunter College, City College of CUNY, SUNY College at Old Westbury, New York Institute of Technology, Pace, Hofstra and St. John's University.

I have also been tutoring for the past 8 years Statistics, Elementary Math, Algebra, Precalculus and Calculus students, amongst others, at Dolciani Math Learning tutoring center.

I have a Master of Arts and a Bachelor of Science in Pure Mathematics from City College of CUNY, where I also taught for 2 years.

Thus with my 20 years of math teaching and tutoring experience, I'm sure I will be able to handle any needs you may have.
