About Brian
Current second-year undergraduate student at Harvard University studying astrophysics and mathematics. I graduated high school with a 103.99 GPA and ranked No.1 in the class, attained 1500 on the SAT in one sitting (700 R&W, 800 M), 800 on SAT subject test math 1, math 2, and physics.
In the summer, I also hold a position as an intern at MoMath (National Museum of Mathematics.)
I enjoy helping others who are also passionate about learning the physical world around us in a mathematical way. I love learning new things every day and hope to gain something out of tutoring people in need of help.

I am not very good at math. Luckily for me, I had Brian as a tutor. Not only is Brian so good at math that he was always able to offer me an explanation, he was also patient and clear, no matter how long it took me to understand the subject matter.
He is also a phenomenal teacher. Although there were countless times where I would approach him, convinced that I would never be able to solve a certain problem, Brian would explain them so well that by the end of our session I felt like I could take on an infinite number of them.
In short, if it weren't for Brian Hsu, who tutored me throughout last year, I would certainly not be doing as well, or feel as confident, in math as I currently do today.Brian tutored me in Calculus II and throughout the sessions he always made sure to take the time to explain topics to me and make sure that I understood what he was teaching me. He broke down the material in a way that allowed me to easily follow and learn from him. He is very knowledgeable and it shows in his tutoring. I really enjoyed having him as a tutor and would highly recommend!
