About Sofia
I am a sophomore at the NYU Courant Institute of Mathematical Science, a globally top ranked university in the field of mathematics. I've been teaching elementary students basic math and have assisted high school students with test prep (SAT, SAT subject tests, EB, IB, A-levels).
I focus on fostering the love for mathematics by outlining the logic behind it. I am against strictly making students memorise formulas without understanding, as they will inevitably forget.
I am a sophomore at the NYU Courant Institute of Mathematical Science, pursuing a Bs in Applied Mathematics as well as a minor/concentration in Computer Science. I've been tutoring students of different age groups for about 3 years now.
