About Owen
My name is Owen Boxx, I am in my final year at the University of Nevada Reno for Computer Science and I have tutored math for the last 4 years for a tutoring company where I became one of the few lead instructors. During my time at that job, I was the one everyone would come to with questions and I feel very confident in my ability to work through any given problem. I love working with students and seeing growth that I have had the pleasure of contributing to. I love one on one tutoring sessions but also have experience working in big groups and handling multiple people at the same time. While I know homework can be important for a grade, I have a strong belief in building a foundation of understanding so that a given student can stand on their own two feet at the end of the day. I am capable of tutoring all math up to Calculus 2 as well as linear algebra. I am also open to tutoring in computer science and have the most experience in developing in Python, C++, and Java. I will tailor my style of tutoring to the requests of a given individual and strive to provide the best environment for said individual.
