About Deemah

I enjoy being a tutor for not only for the sake of teaching the material, but to teach in a creative, fun and efficient manner. I am more than willing to work with you privately, so that the process is more smooth. If you're interested in this, please message me or contact me directly!

I love working with students. I especially love to see the visual progress and growth in my students.

I am currently a senior at Southern Methodist University majoring in Public Health on the pre-medical track. I am currently in the process of applying to medical school. I have years of experience in tutoring in various subjects such as ranging from English and Algebra & Calculus courses to Science courses such as Biology and Chemistry! I am also a 99th percentile scorer on the ACT, with a perfect score on the science section, and would love to help out students in need of a higher score in standardized exams.

About the lesson

Initially, I would like to figure out the student's teaching style. Every student is different in the way they would like to be taught, so figuring this out is key. Next, I would identify the student's weak points, and then work with the student on how to strengthen these through teaching the material for a short amount of time and using the rest of the time for lots of practice problems. From my years of experience with tutoring I have noticed one trend in my students-practice problems are the key to learning material. It allows students to be actively engaged in the material and also learn way more effectively at the same time.
