About Dana
Currently a math 7 and math 7/8 teacher in Virginia. I have also taught Algebra 1 for 3 summers. Our school has been transitioning to one-on-one computers, so I have knowledge of blending learning. Certified for elementary education k-12, middle school mathematics and algebra 1.
Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education k-12
Master's Degree in Middle School Mathematics and Algebra 1

I start by getting to know the students math abilities and learning styles. I like to build a relationship with my students so they feel comfortable advocating for them self's.
I have worked with students in all income brackets. I also spent a year teaching at a predominantly Spanish speaking school and another year teaching mathematics abroad in Thailand.
Ask questions and remember recognizing mistakes means growth.
