About Emily
I am a high school senior at LCHS, serving as the lead tutor in our on-campus peer-tutoring program. I helped establish the program last year and am working this year to train other students in teaching. I am confident in my skills to help other students succeed in just about any subject.
I am the lead tutor in my high school's AP peer-tutoring program. I train other students how to tutor and spent last year peer-tutoring dozens of kids at my school.

About the lesson

First, I like to know a bit about the student, their learning style and interests, so that I can figure out how the subject they're struggling in might relate to things they enjoy.
Next, I'll have the student bring out whatever they're currently working on in class (worksheets, most recent test, etc.) We'll go over that and I'll try to pick out whatever concepts they need the most help in.
Based on the student's learning style, we'll do exercises in that concept until we're both confident that they understand (ex: flashcards, drawings, verbal explanations, songs to help remember, etc.)
