About Jacqui

My name is Jacqui and I offer tutoring services for math. I can teach elementary, middle School, high school students, and lower level college. I know up to calculus 2. I got my Associates of Arts degree at Century College in White Bear Lake MN. I am currently a student at the University of Minnesota working on a bachelor's degree in Statistics. I am a junior, and soon to be a senior.

I have experience with kids of all ages. I have 7 nieces and nephews that are between of the ages 2-21. I also have experience with kids from babysitting as a side job and for family. I've spent most of my life around young people- not just little kids but teenagers and young adults also.

My personality is very laid back and fun. I try to make learning fun for students. I take pride in being able to show how normally complex math problems can be made simple. I have a passion for young people and math. I like showing students that math doesn't have to be hard and that everyone learns at a different pace.

I am able to use online platforms to teach- Skype and free online work boards. I am available for short term and long term.



I am actually new at tutoring for pay. I've tutored family members (Dad, nieces and nephews) and enjoyed it. It was a choice in pursuing my passion for math and people.



I have experience with young people and get along very well with them. I am a kid at heart so I enjoy being around young people. With my education I've always been good at math. I went back to school when I was 26 (I am 29 now) and started from the bottom up. I am still a student and don't plan on stopping for a long time. Currently I am taking a multivariable calculus course and other courses at the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities.

I will get to know what their needs are and work with them to satisfy them. I am very flexible with time and money. I respond fast and always keep an eye on my email/texts. We then work together to achieve their academic goals.



I think my students should think about what personality they want in a tutor. Some students learn from more soft approach and some want a more firm approach. Some students learn faster than others so it's important to know what kind of approach their tutor takes in teaching.
