About Tonya

I am a single mother of two who is working on her Doctorate and loves chidlren and helping them learn. My speciality is math, english and ethnic studies. I live in Sacramento County and am highly engaged in my school district. I believe that we need more passionate and patient parents to work with our children and I am one of those people. I am also a doula.

I have been tutoring since my senior year in high school and have continued during my adult years. I would like to say thank you for reading my profile and I hope to hear from you soon.

I have my Master's in Healthcare Administration, Bachelors in Kinesiology with a minor in Biology and three assocaites in Athletic Training, Nutrition and working on a Paralegal certification.

I have worked with the State of California's WIC program as a educator as well as the State of California, Parks Program as an trainer.

About the lesson

My typical process is to have a 3o minute conversation with the parents about what subject their child is having difficulty with or as an adult what area do you need assistance with. We discuss my rate and a schedule for the first two weeks.
