About Jinny
"Math is not about computations or algorithms. It's about understanding!"
I have been teaching and tutoring math for over twelve years. I enjoy helping students in need in a 1:1 setting by building relationship, getting their confidence level up, bringing "real-life" math problems, and celebrating better results together. I taught at a private middle school and high school since 2007, and have been tutoring 4-8th graders with successful results.
I am happy to work with your student whether it's for support or enrichment.

I am flexible to work with the parent(s) and the student in any way they want. Usually, parents ask for an initial phone call to discuss what they are looking for.
I put great importance on getting to know the student so they become comfortable with my presence and they are not afraid to ask questions and make mistakes in front of me. For the first 1-2 sessions, my goal is to get to know the student's personality and work ethics, as well as their level.
