About Amy

Experienced! 10+ years teaching elementary and middle school science; tutoring high school and college level: biology, chemistry, evolutionary biology, microbiology, ecology, marine biology and environmental science.

Also, 5+ years tutoring 1 on 1 college graduates preparing for the CSET, science teaching test, and other graduate level exams. All of our students passed their tests on the first try. The key is over preparing and taking the building blocks of science seriously.

Lastly, we never put pressure on our students; we have fun while utilizing the most tried and true methods: flash cards, drawing diagrams together, learning how to take close-reading notes, and games to enhance the learning environment

About the lesson

Mathematics lessons offered by Amy are tailored to each student's needs and level. Lessons can also be held online. Lessons are also available in San Jose. The first lesson is free to define learning goals and methodology.

Her ability to teach difficult material is amazing. She takes her time to ensure her students get each step before moving on. Her review games are fun too.

SO helpful! I could not have passed the CSET without her awesome encouragement and study ideas. Each time we met I learned more than I thought I would and retained it too.
