About Peter

Great tutoring isn’t about giving answers it is about helping students discover the answers themselves. We guide students step by step, asking questions that spark critical thinking and confidence.

- No rote memorization. The focus is on real understanding.

- Socratic questioning. A conversational approach, where the student must reason and explain their thinking.

- Scaffolding. We offer customized challenges built just beyond your student's comfort zone.

- Reflection & feedback. Thinking about how we learn, what works and doesn't work for each student.

Students don’t just get through homework, they gain problem solving skills, independence, and the confidence to tackle any challenge.

Ready to see your student grow into a stronger, more resilient mathematical thinker? Let’s get started!

We're a father and son team with over a decade of local tutoring experience.

I have been tutoring for about eight years. I have experience working with a range of students from from students who are struggling or have learning disabilities, to students looking for advanced material or math olympiad training, and I have worked with students from elementary school to college undergraduate level. I specialize in working with students that have developed math anxiety or are having challenges in math.

Jack:

I am a junior at University of California at Santa Cruz, where I also tutor mathematics and physics.

I have been tutoring for about 5 years. I have experience tutoring students struggling or needing more challenging work.

We offer a free intro session via Zoom (30 minutes) to see if there is a good match. And we are always happy to answer any questions you have, thank you!

I started teaching when I was a student and the first course I taught was computer programming.
