About Saamya
As a junior in high school, I feel I have a better ability to connect with students younger than me due to the fact that I have a more recent experience to the math that students are learning. I already have experience with tutoring young children through an online program and I absolutely love helping out!
My favorite part about tutoring is when I go over a concept with a student and they understand it with a smile on their face. Students smiling at what they have accomplished is enjoyable to me!
I got started teaching when I felt the need to give back. I wanted students to succeed in their studies and to help them with it. I noticed that many students were struggling with topics such as math (which I really love) and so I found a program which could do this.

Usually when I first start working with a student, I start off with a couple icebreakers to "break the ice" or get a little more open with each other. Then we get into any struggles that the student deals with & extra practice.
I have worked with students k-8
Maybe look for a teacher who you feel is excellent in what you want to learn or someone who you might be able to connect with better.
A recent event I am fond of was a couple weeks ago when my student and their parents thanked me and saw a difference in their student from the start of our tutoring!
