About Emily
My name is Emily Barber, and I am a full time tutor! I am passionate about helping students of all ages reach their academic goals, enjoy the learning process, and grow in every area of life. I have been tutoring for over 7 years, and I can teach all grade levels (elementary through college). I tutor all subjects, but I specialize in Spanish, English (reading, writing, grammar, literature, etc), Math (elementary through Algebra II), religion, psychology, SSAT, PSAT, SAT, ACT, and college essays. I also love working with the little ones, fostering an engaging learning environment for them at home due to COVID-19. I am 30 years old. I attended the Westminster Schools in Atlanta and graduated from the University of Georgia with a 3.98 GPA.
I love getting to know students one-on-one and tailoring my tutoring to each student's specific needs, learning style, personality, and desired growth areas. I am friendly, warm, enthusiastic, and goal-oriented!

Emily is kind, patient and persistent. When she began tutoring my son in Spanish, he had a 68 in the class; by the end of the semester he had raised his grade to an 89. Emily also has helped my son with his college essay and helped him study grammar for the ACT.
I highly recommend Emily; I call her my “secret weapon” when it comes to helping my children.View more recommendations
