About Cristina
As a college student with an apiration to learn about the world around me, I am looking forward to solidify my understanding of the STEM field by tutoring an helping others however I can. I have been tutoring throughout highschool and helping my peers wherever the oppertunity arose, this was expecially true for my AVID class which I was apart of for six years. AVID is a program designed to help students of a minority background get into college by providing them with helpful information and by tutoring each other. I was able to hone in my tutoring skills and develop them throughout the years. I have been excelling in my classes, having straight A's by the end of senior year as well as obtaining a 5 on the AP Physics exam as well as a 4 on the AP Calculus AB exam.
What I enjoy most about tutoring others is being able to my students grow. I love learning about the sciences as well as any mathamatics and tutoring provides me the oppertunity to help others and hopefully spread that joy. One of my most fond memories was of helping a past student in Chemistry and seeing them grow from a stuggling student into a hard working, successful academic.

I will introduce myself as well as ask the student if they know specifically what they need help on. I will then ask the student how they usualy study for the class and what their learning style is. After that, I will begin to aid them in the subject area and help them as best as possible to improve themselves and learn.

Really enthusiastic and motivating as well as helpful.
Cristina was extremely patient with my special needs son. She succeeded where many not only failed but gave up on him. I'm really optimistic about his future now.
