About Sasha
We absolutely love teaching, and have developed some of the most clear and easy-to-understand tutoring strategies. Both of our tutors have been helping peers and other students with all kinds of subjects (especially math) for upwards of 10 years. We are so excited to meet some new students and watch their grades quickly improve!!
I personally began tutoring early in high school, and then went on to work part-time as an SAT tutor. Later, I started to advertise my services to all types of students.
Both of our tutors have taken extensive math classes, including the necessary college-level mathematics courses. They have also worked as SAT tutors, and have a passion for teaching others!

Usually, we like to go over some of the material and topics you will need help on, as well as info regarding what you have already covered in your class. This helps us get a sense of how best to prepare your lesson plan.
From there, we start to develop a strong foundation of the course material before we begin covering more advanced topics. We are also happy to help with whatever you may need, including assistance with homework, assignments, and projects!
If you think we're a good fit, we would then set up meeting times to help you work towards your goals!
I have more experience with middle school and high school-aged students, but am very comfortable working with both younger (elementary school-aged) and older (college) students.
I would advise students to choose a teacher whom you enjoy spending time with. This can make tutoring sessions much more bearable, and even more effective.
A few months ago, I was tutoring a college freshman who needed help memorizing some equations for an upcoming test. He was having some trouble, so we actually came up with the idea to make each equation into a song. We had so much fun doing this, and he got them down in no time; it was one of my favorite sessions.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
It's a good idea to think about which concepts you really need help with, as well as which concepts you feel comfortable with. We can figure everything else out from there!
