About Laura

I am a highly experienced educator with Massachusetts Teacher Licensure in both Elementary school and dual Massachusetts Lisences in ESL for all ages.

I have decades of years of successfully teaching and tutoring all Elementary school subjects and ESL students , both in and out of the classroom.

I have the experience and expertise to help any students learn , succeed and meet their goals.

I have the ability to work with students who have been unable to succeed with other teachers/ tutors and see their joy when they begin to experience success with me.

My services stand out by my proven track record of success working with all ages from school age to adults.

I am devoted to making an individualized learning experience for every student based on their own learning style and needs.

I am proud to just have been voted Top Tutor of 2022 based on the ratings of my former students on a satisfaction survey of their tutoring experiences with me.This award is only achieved by less than 6 percent of tutors who are on the tutoring website.

I offer decades of experience , knowledge and skills that are hard to find from expert teaching / tutoring students who are the youngest learners to adults. This can only come from a lifetime of firsthand experiences and professional training.

I am a dual Massachusetts Cetified Elementary School Teacher and of English as a Second Language. I have decades of experience working in the Massachusetts Public School System and tutoring privately for the years throughout.

Due to my love for working with ESL students I have been-successfully teaching and tutoring school- age to adult ESL students from very beginners to English to advanced learners looking to improve their pronunciation skills and ireduce their accent, for 20+ years.

I am proud to have been so highly complimented and appreciated for my success working with all ages and types of students who were needing one on one support and assistance.

I have a natural ability for building strong relationships with all ages and abilities of my students and families to support existing coursework or to supplement or design individualized programs to meet thei unique needs of each different learner.

I have the advantage of being a veteran teacher/ tutor who has the experience and knowledge to comfortably work with students who are in school and need extra support.

I also have years of experience working with adults who are very beginning in English to advanced speakers looking to reduce their accent and improve their pronunciation to sound more like a native speaker.

I have the professional knowledge , skills and experience with successful learning outcomes, with a wide range of students that few tutors can offer.

My advanced knowledge of all schooll - age subjects from all levels of English Language Arts and Social Studies gives my students an opportunity to understand and learn the material from their teachers in ways that they never could before. Their grades greatly improve because of my ability and devotion to assure this outcome for each of my students.

I am passionate about education. I am truly proud when I know that have helped my students to improve and see their confidence bloom as they are working with me.

I view my student's success as my success! I love the appreciation and gratitude that I have received from my students who began as struggling or reluctant learners and then become excited to see their own progress and success with my tutoring skills and experience.

I truly enjoy the honor of being able to help all learners view learning as a positive experience with me and their growing success as we work together.

I love that I am able to be very successful at meeting each individual student where they are at and planning activities and a program that fits their personal goals and needs.

My passion for education and learning has led me to decades of experience working with all types of students who achieve success in the subject/ subjects in which t they are needing assistance .

Whatever age, abilities and goals of my learners I work with , I get to see the relief and smiles on my student's faces as they begin to realize that they really CAN achieve success when we work together!

About the lesson

My first step in working with a new ESL student is to speak with the student to hear and understand their goals for their English tutoring classes.

I use my many years of ESL teaching/tutoring experience and skills to make an instructional plan to help my ESL student’s progress and success with their English goals.
