About Deni
Acrobat Math tutoring has been helping students find success in Mathematics for 20 years. As an educator, Deni acknowledges strengths, builds confidence, enstills a love of learning and creates a trusting relationship that fosters success.
Deni is a certified teacher, with a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction. She has been a classroom teacher and private tutor for 20 years, specializing in elementary Math and PreAlgebra. Her clients range from K-8th, with an expertise in 3rd-7th grade. As an educator she has experience with a magnitude of learning styles; including, learning disabled, ADHD students, remedial learners, ESL students, twice exceptional children, and quantitatively gifted learners.
Deni utilizes strategies and tactics based on the needs of each individual learner. Her goal is to establish a partnership in learning that engages the learner; while, building their confidence and establishing a love for mathematics.
Being part of that "ah ha" moment is the greatest reward a teacher can have. Working with individuals in a small setting stimulates a trusting relationship that nuture's student growth and catipults success!

I start with a dialogue with the parent(s) to discuss the student's learning needs and objectives. During the initial session with the student, I start by asking some "get to know you" questions to build a relationship. I then utilize the time as an assessment tool to create a plan for student growth.
