About Tabatha
I am a teacher at Kedron elementary school. I am part of both the math and the ELA curriculum teams, so I am current on all elementary grade level standards and procedures. I have been teaching for 14 years and I specialize in tutoring math and reading. I have a Masters degree in reading and math and I have a reading endorsement as well. I have been tutoring for five years, and would love the opportunity to help your child succeed.
The thing I enjoy most about my work is the "a-ha" moment when a child finally understands a topic they've been struggling with.
I have always wanted to be a teacher. Once my three daughters were in school full-time I got my teaching degree and I have been teaching ever since.
I have been a teacher for 14 years and I have been tutoring for five years.

I am willing to come to your house and work with you there or to meet you at the public library. Typically I meet with a student for one hour at a time. I can help with homework, or I can bring materials to help strengthen a particular area of learning.
I have worked with students from kindergarten through sixth grade.
The advice I would give a student looking to hire a teacher would be to find one who knows a variety of strategies so that the teacher can work with you to find the way that you learn best so that you could grasp a full understanding of the concept.
Recently I was working with a student who was struggling with the concept of area. After working through several different strategies the student found one that worked for her and she gained a full grasp of the concept. The smile on her face made my heart melt.
