I specialize in Early Childhood Education and have experience working as an after school tutor for 1st and 2nd grade students. Additionally, I have worked in numerous child development centers as a teacher for preschool age children. And currently, my greatest, and most challenging position has been homeschooling my 3 year old daughter.
The most rewarding thing about tutoring is seeing my students reach their "ah-ha!" moment where everything finally clicks.The amount of pride in their faces when they have broken down a barrier that had them stuck is literally priceless!

I prefer to take a holistic approach to learning. I like to get to know my student (their hobbies, talents, challenges, etc) to assess what gaps need to be filled in. I believe learning encompasses every aspect of who we are as individuals, so that needs to be taken into consideration when trying to master a particular subject.
