About Ethan
I am an electrical engineering student with a heavy background in math and science. I have had to teach myself most of what I know, so I believe that it would be pretty simple to teach others what I understand myself. I have a 3.5 GPA as an electrical engineering student, so I believe I am pretty well qualified to be teaching basic math and science, and even some upper level courses too. I have been teaching my friends and roomates over the last three years, and I am many peoples' go to when it comes to school help. I thought it would be a great idea to expland my client base, so I made an account on this website. Ever since I was in highschool I was teaching my friends algebra and pre-calculus, since my teacher was not good at explaining topics. I realized pretty quickly that I could explain things in terms most people could grasp. Thats when I realized I had a knack for teaching people things.
I am engineering student, so that entails upper levels of math and science. I have an above average knowledge of literature and writing, but I would not consider that my strong suit. I finished highschool with a 3.8 GPA, and I currently have a 3.5 GPA in college.

I like to figure out where the student is opposed to where they want to be. I like to make math understandable and conceptualize complex problems into easier to understand steps. My approach would vary from student to student, as everyone's pace is different. Expect to see results if your student is ready to improve their academic future.
I have worked with students that have no natural ability and made them grasp extremely difficult topics. I believe that everyone has a potential to be a great student if they put the time and effort into bettering themselves.
My advice if any would be to have an open mind. The way I teach is a little unorthadox, but expect to see results within 1 to 2 sessions. I teach how to be successful in class and in the future by also teaching time management and goal setting while helping the student with being successful with their current classes.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What they want out of the sessions. Its not instant gratification by any means, but rather a climb to further understanding of topics. I aim to better the students academic future as a whole rather than short term grades. But more importantly expect your student to learn how to study and how manage their time better. And most importantly the students need to communicate with me.
