About Carly
My service stands out because I incorparate hands on and visual activities to help each student learn and grow. I take pride in my focus on getting to know your child so that they feel confident and safe learning with me. I also teach kids the importance of making mistakes as it is part of the learning process. I currently teach 3-5 self contained and push my students toward being independent learners by providing them with strategies and tools to help them succeed. Each session will be tailored to your child's specific needs. Can't wait to start working with your child !
I love what I do because as a child I struggled in school up until 3rd grade when one teacher took the extra step to help me succeed. The impact she has made on my life is something I look forward to doing for others. I want to be that teacher that makes a child enjoy learning.

When I start working with a new student I give their parents and them a short survey so I can learn a bit about the child as well as what they need help with. I also take time to get to know the child by asking about their goals, interests, hobbies etc. I think in order for a student to learn they need to feel safe first and foremost.
