About Arlene

I provide online tutoring in Algebra, Geometry, Calculus and all other middle and high school math classes. All sessions are conducted using the Zoom platform, and every class is customized to meet an individual student's needs.

Tutoring sessions are pay as you go with no long term contracts. Session prices are reasonable and outlined on my website.

I enjoy working with students and watching their confidence grow along with their math skills. One of the biggest benefits from tutoring is the increased confidence that comes with overcoming obstacles to master a difficult skill.

During my undergraduate days at FSU, I had a job working in the Math Lab on campus. I was responsible for tutoring students who came into the lab struggling with their classes, and I absolutely loved it. I had a great reputation among students who really struggled in their College Algebra class and was able to help them improve their grades dramatically.

I'm now at a point in life where I can pursue tutoring again, and SimpliCalc Tutoring, Inc was born.

I have a recent Master's Degree in Mathematics, a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, and over 25 years experience working in technology.

About the lesson

I work with middle school, high school, and college level students. Each student is very different and enters into tutoring with their own expectations. I've worked with struggling students who are frustrated with math as well as advanced students looking to improve their grades. Some students are very shy at first while others are much more outspoken about their needs. I work hard to create a safe enviorment where a student feels comfortable asking questions.

Middle School Math, Algebra 1, and Geometry are priced at $50 per hour.

Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, Calculus (all levels), and SAT/ACT Math Prep are priced at $60 per hour.
