About Anita

I love math and have been tutoring students through college for over 20 years. I get to know my students learning style quickly and can assess if they are missing foundational concepts. I am a state certified 6-12 teacher.

I am excited for my students to understand - for the "light bulb" to turn on, as well for them to accomplish good grades. We spend concentrated time on testing events. While you may understand, it wonderful when a student does well on their quizes, exams and tests. I also get to know the student through our tutoring interaction. I've been invited to graduations and have even had students go on to college with scholarships. I love it!

I am currently an Adjunct Instructor at Gwinnett Technical College and have been previously an Academic Tutor in Math and Science Lab at Georgia Gwinnett College.

About the lesson

The process is dependent the underlying purpose for the session:

1. Test Prep - going over material in preparation for a test or quiz.

2. Going over homework in to gain understanding of a concept that is not understood.

3. Preparing for a standardized test - SAT, or ACT (math section), testing out (for college credit)

4. Want to get ahead of class in preparation for next concepts to be introduced.
