About Marlen
I started off by working at summer camp programs and then I moved forward to Afterschool programs.
I've worked at an Afterschool for 2 years in which I was in charge of my own group. I've helped students with all subjects and gave them daily lessons/ activities.

At first I start by introducing myself and saying some fun facts about myself. Then I ask them their name, where they're from, favorite subject, and other fun facts they would like to tell me about.
I've worked with students from all backgrounds including some with learning disabilities.
A kid who had been left back twice was struggling with math and was about to get left back again. He asked me if I could help him with math, especially division. He went from failing every test and incomplete homework assignments daily to getting all questions correct on his homework and passing his exams.
