About Olivia

I am a certified teacher with a masters degree in Education with a specialization in Special Education. I am currently a Bronx middle school math teacher, but I am also certified to work with elementary school students as well.

I love helping students unlock their full potential. I believe all students are intelligent, and have their own unique way of learning. I also enjoy helping students succeed.

I have been helping people for years with school work from classmates, to siblings and relatives. I decided to pursue a degree in Education after graduating from high school.

I have a Master's Degree in Education. I am a certified teacher of New York State. I am a teacher in the Department of Education.

English

Before beginning any session, I feel it is important to get to know a little bit more about the student and how they feel about the current subject or topic at hand. It helps to build a positive relationship as students are more likely to want to learn from someone they are familiar with and have a positive relationship with.

I have experience working with a variety of students. Students who have learning disabilities, speech impairment, or other health impariments. I have also work with multilingual learners and those who's first language is not English.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should be able to describe what issues they are having such as a particular topic in Math, ELA, etc. It helps if students are aware of where there confusion lies as teachers can focus on those specific areas and provide as much detailed help and practice as possible.
