About Kareem
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Maryland and an MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business, where I focused on Strategy and Operations. Throughout my academic journey, I've had the privilege of tutoring a range of subjects including statistics, algebra, and economics. My approach is centered on breaking down complex concepts into manageable, understandable parts, ensuring that each student gains confidence and clarity in the subject matter.
I have experience working with students from high school to adult learners, tailoring my teaching methods to fit their unique learning styles and needs. My goal is to make learning an engaging and positive experience, whether you're tackling a challenging topic or looking to deepen your understanding.
Professionally, I've spent four years in the financial services industry at a major global bank, where I held Series 7 and 66 licenses. This role sharpened my analytical skills and provided me with insights into how different individuals approach problem-solving and decision-making. Additionally, I spent 1.5 years at a startup, where I played a key role in developing a mobile app. This experience not only broadened my technical skills but also deepened my understanding of how people learn, think, and interact with technology.
